HEX Marathon this Saturday

I'm new to this show so I don't know exactly how much of the series is being shown but if I remember correctly BBCA is showing a Hex marathon starting at 8:00 am. I've set my TiVo to record all.

Anyone who watches this show, will this either catch me up or is this the entires series? I notice they all say original air date 2004.

There were 18 total episodes, 19 hours. In the U.K., Season 1 was episodes 1-5, and Season 2 was episodes 6-18. I think for the BBCA, they took the two hour Episode 1 and divided it into two episodes. Not totally sure. BBCA also changed Season 1 to be longer, by actually making some of the U.K's Season 2 to be part of the U.S.'s Season 1. I also remember seeing discussions about BBCA airing some of the episodes out of order (so watch out for that). (I'm not totally up to speed on this as I watched the U.K. episodes, not the BBCA airings).

Excellent series. First three or so episodes were rather slow but kept my attention. Things really kick into gear after that, though, and it's a really fun ride to the end. BBCA was notorious for spoiling episodes in the previews, too, so also watch out for that.

I believe Jeeters is correct. Last summer they showed the first UK season (1-5), and part of the 2nd UK season (6-?) as the BBCA 1st season. My guess is this marathon will get you caught up on the BBCA 1st season and prepare you for whenever BBCA decides to air the rest of the eps (hopefully soon...)

Did they ever show ALL of the episodes from season 2? Last I remember, they stopped showing them...and never began again.

HEX was a great series, and I'm sad they never picked it up for a 3rd season. If you don't feel like waiting for BBCA (or the marathon, for that matter), you can get all the episodes off of usenet.

I lost interest in it by the end of season 1. Did it get better?

Definitely. (U.S.) Season 2 is almost like a whole different show. Ella's character ends up taking center stage due to...the departure of actress Christina Cole and therefore of the character Cassie.With Ella in the forefront, the show had much more energy, less brooding, and plot lines were very Buffy-esque (lots of fighting evil by traditional butt kicking and some magical help).

The thread title is still accurate. There will be a Hex marathon on 6/2 starting at 9am starting with the first season. The second season premiers at 7pm (2 hrs) with S2E2 starting at 9pm.

BBCA will be showing Season 2 Saturdays at 9 pm.
