Nice to have this show back on with a new episode.
Loved the Kat's ready for a 3-some (... with Kyle and Ethan).
Loved the accidental blurting of "Holly Ellenbogen" and the "I'm gonna get you!" ("Get me what?, I guess I'll just have to be surprised.") That sets things up for the future and could lead to some pretty funny stuff if played out well.
Kyle as the buffer was funny and provided an excuse for him to be in the show tonite.
Nicole (Andrea Anders) and Duncan still hang out together a bit too much considering she's married, but it is keeping the tension level between them at a good point.
Fern with the gun was funny, scary, crazy all at the same time.
Strong episode. I am really liking this show.

Does anyone else watch the opening of this show. For some reason I am addicted to the music and the morphing of the characters from their before after effect.
It reminds me of Cheers (I know its the same director/producer). That was another opening that I always enjoyed listening too.
Great episode. It helps even more if you think of Fern as that crazy child from Rosesane show. Makes me think her parents made her turn bad. LOL.
Its amazing how all the characters work on this show. I sure hope they pick it up for next year.

The opening is quite well done, very slick.
An okay episode, I was a bit let down by Ethan wanting so badly to have a threesome. He just overplayed it. I don't mean as in how much a guy would want that but as an actor. When Palmer asked him to come up for a shower and he just pouted really hurt this episode for me.

"We're like the Three Amigo's!"
More like Three's Company, but I guess they weren't going to go there. Too much of a wink.

It is hard to believe how far this show has come from the crappy premise of the Pilot! I never thought the show would get this good this fast!
I loved how Richie thought he made up the name, Holly Ellenbogan.
"Dude, we went to school with her!" "Really? Oh well!"

"A gun! ... You must be Fern!"
I didn't mind Ethan's pout, I just don't think the character was "masculine" enough to pull of the threesome plot. When he and Kyle were talking and Ethan was complaining about Kyle being too gay to "get" the concept, I was thinking Ethan didn't come off as that much straighter! I think the actor who plays Duncan would have made that plot much funnier by making a larger contrast.

Yeah, the pilot definitely sucked. Show's getting much better. The whole gay/three some had me laughing!

Another great episode. I think this is the start of CBS' plans to get the characters to interact more. (I support that plan.)

This ep was very Three's Company, as PJO1966 pointed out, but I thought it worked well.
This show seems to be getting better with each episode.

The linked article says the show isn't likely to come back for a second season. Is this a known fact?
Bummer if it is!

Gotta love studio execs.
ROT IN HELL BASTARDS!!!
The show was finally holding its own and getting legs. Sure, it was never going to be "Friends" or "Cheers", but it could have gone a couple two-three seasons.
*sigh*
oh... and /HI Ruth!!! Nice to see you!!!

Thanks for the reminder. My wife is off today so I think she'll watch it. I am going to try, but the music is cutting in and out at work. I am downloading something large so that is affecting it I think.

So far, so funny! (As I watch, I can't help but wonder why Jason Ritter wasn't selected to play Kyle... ;))

It was interesting to see how it's done. I was surprised at how many people attend a table reading. Must be nice to be done with work for the day at 11:30.

Jason spoke of spoilers from the table read, and I thought there were three interesting bits. Note: This episode doesn't air for a few more weeks, so don't read if you don't want any surprises to be ruined:Kat appears to be entering into a relationship just as Ethan ends one. Typical sitcom rule - keep them at bay for as long as possible.
Also, Nicole realizes she needs to end it with Kronk, and that she loves Duncan.
Finally, no Holly. Her husband Perry was there, but she wasn't. Could Fern have killed her, and Perry will take her place in the series?

and the run through is up now also. The run through was interesting I was surprised they did it in order and kept moving from set to set instead of starting at one end and doing all the scenes in Ethan's apartment then move next door to Kat's apartment set and doing all the scenes there.
Did not like that they got rid of the super hero joke and there are some things with Jamie King as far as timing that needs to be worked on.

That's what makes it a "run-through" and not just a "rehersal". ;) :D

I kind of figured that but it seemed counter productive to be walking back and forth just so the executives could see it.

The forced laughter is really annoying. A couple times people started laughing before the joke.
