Audio / Video out of sync sporadically

Had my Tivo for 3+ years.
Never an issue.
All of a sudden, both mine and my friend's (bought the TIvos several months apart) are sporadically having audio/video sync issues. A show will be fine..then a little blurp..not digital pixellation, but something like that.....and the audio/ video is then about 1-2 seconds off for the rest of the show.

Shows before and after are fine. The show itself is fine until the 'little blurp'....

Weird, as 2 unrelated Tivos seem to have this issue. Maybe some sofware update caused the problem...it' only started about a month ago I think.

I am a new TiVo users... just a week... Dual Tuner Series 2... and I noticed a program last night where the audio/video were about a second out of sync for half the program. Very weird.

Astound installed a new cable box and all is good, I hope.
