I have a Series 2 Dual Tuner and Comcast Digital Cable with the HD Box...
I can recieve picture and sound on all my basic cable channels. On my Digital Cable Channels starting from channel 100 and up i can get the picture but not the sound. I have tried fixing the problem on my own with tivo customer service but they have only confused with different stories each time.......
The majority of my tivo recording is done on basic cable but i do watch and like to record alot of stuff on NFL Network and HBO.....So it is kinda hard to just let this go......
What can i do to get the audio on those digital channels??

HOw is your TiVo connected to the Comcast box?
On a side note, you are aware that the TiVo will NOT record in HD?

Check out the setup configurations on the Tivo Support Website (http://customersupport.tivo.com/LaunchContent.aspx?cid=30b2ebf7-d3bb-4523-bbe1-3f729ca00aad&anchor=undefined) just to make sure you have the cables correctly connnected. I'm not sure if you were saying that the digital channels worked until you got to 100 or if that is where the digital channels started, but first check your connections and like supasta asked tell us a little more about how you're connected.
One thing I've noticed with my digital cable is that the tech's set the gain on a pre-amp to match the number of devices/outlets I'm paying for. When I first tried to just split the cable and add another Tivo/TV the signal went bad on the other sets.
Hope that helps

I wonder if no audio lines have been connected from the cable box to the TiVo.
Doesn't the Dual Tuner require Audio/Video connections from the box? No provision for an RF feed off the box?
If the video's connected, but not the audio, that'd be it. My guess is the channels under 100 are coming in off analog, which is why they have sound. The channels above 99 can only be tuned by the box, and if no audio cables were used...

Yes i am aware that i will not be able to record in HD. I get all my channels but my problem is when i get up to my digital channels which just happen to start over ch 100 i get the picture but no sound. With my other tivo which was not a dual tuner i had no problem i got all the channels basic and digital with picture and sound. I'm just trying to figure out how can i get that sound back for the channels over 100.
Here is a little more about my setup.....
I have the comcast hd box (motorola dc6200), tivo series 2 dual tuner, samsung hdtv...
I hooked everything up according to the directions that came with the tivo.....The cable source coming from the wall is going into the rf splitter's IN jack. Connected 2 rf coaxial cables to the rf splitter's OUT jacks....I connected 1 of those cables to the back of RF IN on the cable box and the other to the RF IN on the back of the tivo...
Then i connected the composite a/v cables (red, white, yellow) from the cable box's audio/video out jack to the tivo audio/video in jack.....After that i connected another set of composite cables to the tv a/v input from the tivo out jack.....
misc info - i am connected on a wired network and i use the ir blaster but have no problems or issue with either.....( side note: i have no home theater set up or reciever)
Like i said before my main problem is that i do not get any sound on those digital channels that start over channel 100....so for example (NFL Network ch 180 on my cable, i get the picture but no sound)
I have connected everything just like the instructions showed.....I just need to figure how i can get the sound on those upper channels...

UPDATE........ i figured out the problem and ended up using a Y-Cable to split the audio because what i learned about my cable box is that it appears to have 2 inputs for audio while it really is only made with one.....
Thanks to everyone who helped out in this thread.....Hopefully next time if i get a series 3 eventually, I can hook it up in less than 2 weeks...lol
