I spent a few this evening with TiVo's product manager for Mac TTG and took a couple pics, though they're very similar to the screenshots. I assume megazone will have dozens (or more) of pics up at some point, but I'll take a few of the Moto-TiVo tomorrow when I talk to VP Jim Denney.
Any requests for pictures? Any question? Mean, snarky question requests may be ignored - I've got to be polite if I want future interviews. :)

I'd be curious to know if the TiVo/Moto box supports HME and TTG. Also if you can get any shots of the actual interface used for VOD and PPV on the TiVo/Moto box that would be cool too.
I'll actually be down at the show on Wednesday and Thursday, so I may run into a couple of you in the TiVo booth while I'm there. :)

Any question?Besides all the obvious ones ...
I'd like to know if there's been any plans / discussions / work / etc. on doing a version for Scientific Atlanta platforms. And, what the status is of the TV Navigator middleware (which I'm assuming they're using from other articles) for Scientific Atlanta platforms.

Ask them if they know anything about pixelation issues on Series 2's with the latest update. I'm getting that on all three of my boxes. One stock box less than three months old and two others with large drives. Can't have all three hosing on me at the same time, has to be a software issue.

Hey Dave how about more info on the video music downloads and pics of the Rhapsody streaming service. It would be good to see how far along they are on that.

There are a few obvious questions:
1) What is the status of TTG, MRV, and eSata on the S3?
2) Is there a plan to offer the S3 on a bundled deal this year?
3) Will the 540 S2 be discontinued this quarter? Or when stock is depleted?
*The reason for this last is the ban on devices with only an NTSC tuner in it. Seems like they are really pushing these lately and I wonder if it's because soon they won't be able to make them.

Pics are up. Of particular interest (to me anyway) are a pic of ComcasTivo hybrid remote and a new tivo website(i won't divulge the url, but it can currently be reached by regular web users).

a quote from TiVo exec on that

Nate Mook: TiVo's Jim Denney also said the company was working hard to bring TiVoToGo and multi-room viewing to Series3 customers, although no timeframe has been established as of yet. Much to our dismay, Denney noted that only analog and over-the-air content will be supported by the features, as digital and HD broadcasts have certain copyright issues that TiVo has not resolved. The company said it is currently working on a software update for Series3, which is in limited alpha testing and will likely ship to customers in the Spring.

If it is available in the spring it'll be nine months early. ;)
Also I suspect transferring HD would be difficult given network bandwidth issues and file size so it's likely as much about that as well. Still looks like they got the go ahead to impliment with analog. This was the feature I was looking for to maintain compatibility with my S2's and since I'm not likely to buy more than one S3 in the next two years this will work just fine. :)

Man that Comcast TiVo is significantly different then a real TiVo. It's still TiVo-like, but everything looks very different. I wonder if TiVo plans to eventually move their own units over to thise new design?

I'd love for someone to get more details from Verizon on their new interface, wed-scheduling (Edit: web-scheduling ;) ), etc.

I like the flatter menu structure myself. I think that would be a nice improvement overall.
Would not want PIP though for the same reason as everyone else. chances are it would be a show I am already recording. Now if they wanted to logic it up some and only show the buffer when it is not part of a scheduled recording that would be way cool
PS DT_DC the wed-scheduling is not due out until wife 2.0 ships, hopefully for me it will remain vaporware ;)

Yeah I hated that little PIP window when I had a Moxi.
I'm not sure if I'd like the new UI or not. I'd have to play with it to see.

You are right. If you could set the PIP to display a default channel, like the Weather channel initially that would be cool. Hit the guide and see the forecast in the window.

Just a "second" for this question as well. Houston TimeWarner (actually now owned by Comcast) is using the Scientific Atlanta boxes.

I agree. I always thought of the PIP window as an unnecessary feature, but with my DirecTV HR20, the video is always playing and the TV won't shut up.
