D* HR10-250 for cable possible?

In the SF Bay area Comcast offers a few things D* doesn't. Is it possible or actually, feasible to convert the HD 10-250 to Comcast. Or do you just toss it and buy Series 3 Tivo.

Question 2: I read in one of these threads that "On Demand" is not available with the Tivo interface. T or F?
