I set up my HR10-250 to record the Patriots-Jets game, in HD on my OTA channel. I came back around half time and went to start watching the game and to my horror, NO RED LIGHT!!!

It recorded the first 15 minutes, then stopped. No reason given. I quickly hit record to catch as much of the game as I could from the buffer. I started watching the opening 15 minutes (which included the first scoring drive), but then I noticed that, after about 5 minutes, the red light went off again. I restarted the recording 5 times and each time it would record for about 2 to 4 minutes and then suddenly turn off.

I checked other recently recorded programs and they were all fine, full recordings. This is the first and only time I've seen behavior like this, where it just stops recording for no reason.

I still have several of the 2 minute segments saved, in case anyone thinks there is something I can check to figure out what went wrong.

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Maybe that's a sign from above.

Sorry, I had to. I'm a Colts fan. :)

this happened to me for the Eagles-Giants game. Half an hour in and stopped no reason.

I went to my messages and there was a "activate your dvr service" message. My service has been active for over 2 years. I am not sure if the two had anything to do with one another.

I guess the drive could be full but I find it hard to believe, I may have had 50 shows or so SD, and maybe 3-5 HD shows.

The drive was not full. I had about 45 "Suggestions" that it could overwrite. Each time I hit record, it would start to record, then shut off after 4 minutes or so. I don't know if I can trust it for this week's game...

I would turn off suggestions until they get this fixed and delete them.

The drive was full with suggestions. I'd say the same thing - the problem SEEMS to be that the Tivo isn't deleting what can be deleted - otherwise it would just delete the oldest show and record the new one. It's not deleting the show or the suggestions.

Delete some or all of the suggestions and turn them off. Might work...

Sickening, wasn't it! I'm ashamed to wear my Cowboys baseball cap in public anymore - And I had such high hopes for Tony Romo!
