Does TiVo have nothing going on at CES? If not, that will only reinforce the perception that TiVo's time in the sun is over.

Instead of wasting your time being a troll on the TiVo forum, why not just go to the CES website and find that they DO have a booth.

Since CES hasn't started yet, we don't know what they might announce. They did just release the only HD CableCARD DVR on the market, the first and only THX certified DVR, next year they will have two large cable operators selling their service... what do you want from them??

I'm hoping they make an announcement about the Tivo software download for Comcast! I can't wait to get rid of Comcast's crappy interface. I would buy an S3, but the costs and no OnDemand features are a deterrent.

adam115, big deal. There must be thousands of booths there. The point is, and you would know this if you actually poked around the CES site a little, they are not on the list of press conferences, which to me indicates that they have nothing going on. With everything exciting going on (slingbox, etc.), the impression is there that TiVo has peaked in the absence of any major announcements. You may not like it but the stock price reflects the problem.

Dave Zatz has already posted (http://www.zatznotfunny.com/2007-01/on-the-ground-in-vegas-ces/#more-1217) an enigmatic little pic on his site. I've enhanced it a bit, and it sure looks like a Tivo S3 off the right edge, and a Motorola 6412 box center top. So you'll probably get at least a demo of the upcoming release.

But what is the Moto sitting on?

Yea, most companies just like wasting money to set up a booth with a big sign that says "Nothing to see here, move along, we're going out of business..."

Not to mention rule 13:13. No stock talk - In the past people have tried to influence stock prices either by talking a company down and shorting it or pushing it. This seemed to be their sole purpose at the forum.

Anything else chandler?

Hokie Soup, that makes 2 of us (people looking for details on the Comcast box, not Hokies). It looks like we'll hear something about that.

Thanks for the picture and the link, Chucky - I'll be obsessively checking Dave's page to see what's going on.

Is CES open to us mere mortals? I've gotta think that would be just about the coolest vacation ever...

Hey, I resemble that remark!

Never mind TiVo's yesterdays. TiVo had better learn how to turn a profit, not just pizazz!

Hey no worries for you!

They had:

1) Working prototype of Comcast HD TiVo with On-Demand, PPV, etc.
2) TiVo2Go for Mac
3) Music Choice for all TiVo's users as part of TiVocast!

And a Real Rhapsody integration service as well.
