Lifetime from Ebay only?

Just got a phone call from Tivo telling me that my Lifetime transfer from my old DirecTV box wouldnt go through. I thought I had paid lifetime way back when, but it was month to month.
Anyway, I have only a week left to transfer any subscription to my unit since it has already been activated for 22 days. Is Ebay my only option to get a Lifetime at this point?

eBay or craigslist. Get an S1 or S2 with lifetime and do the VIP transfer or get a lifetime gift card. Be careful that the seller has good feedback.

PLEASE dont make the mistake I made 15 minutes ago. I purchased what I thought was a lifetime unit. Paid $249 to the seller, he gave me the Tivo Service code. I called Tivo, they kept insisting on the owners name etc. Finally, they told me the unit was monthly to monthly NOT lifetime.
The seller sold the item with "Lifetime avail" in the title. In my rush to buy it, I missed the "avail" part meaning it didnt have lifetime. I am working it out with him to get a refund, and searching for another lifetime unit. I am nervous now, Tivo CSR's are pretty insistant on the original owners name etc.....anyone run into that?

I did two off eBay. I did get the name of the last owner. Don't know about original owner. No problems.
