S3 remote not learning???

I have been connecting my S3 to a receiver for 5.1 audio. After several weeks, I decided to forego the receiver in favor of just using the TV speakers, because I found that there aren't that much better having 5.1 sound for TV viewing and you have to shut off both the receiver and the TV when finish.

The problem is now my remote would not recognize my Toshiba TV for the part of sound volume and mute functions. I tried all five 4-digit codes to no avail. This is strange since my S2 TIVO remote had no problem recognizing the same TV. And previously, the S3 remote had no problem recognizing my NAD receiver which is not a well known name brand.

So now I have to use either S2 remote or TV remote for adjusting TV volume. Is there a solution to it? I suspect there is something I did wrong.

Look in the manual and "teach" the volume and mute buttons for the TV. I think you hold the Tivo and Mute button and then put the TV remote front to front with the TiVo Remote and teach the vol up, vol down and mute buttons to the S3 remote.

Never mind, stupid me...

All I had to do is redo part 1 of the remote set- up and that would do it. No need to carry out remote learning.
