Fast forward recorded programs?

I've been a Series 1 user for several years with Comcast analog service.

Recently I upgraded to Comcast's digital service to get HD, and I installed Comcast's DVR. Imagine my surprise to find that it won't fast forward recorded programs.

If I upgrade to Tivo's Series 3 unit and install a card (or 2) for Comcast will I be able to fast forward recorded programs?

I've never heard of a DVR that wouldn't let you FF. My Comcast DVR certainly does.

It fast forwards. Of course it fast forwards. It has probably always fast forwarded. I was blind.

Once you upgrade to S3, if you know the code, you can even do the 30 second skip. Take the leap as clone DVR's are just an empty shell compared to a TIVO.....

FF is good, but 30 sec jumps are better.
