View Full Version : Remote Restart
My Series 3 is horked - I have to restart it once a day, or one of tuners looses the ability to change channels.
I am going to be out of town for 9 days (MacWorld Expo) and would like to restart my Tivo each day so that I do not lose any recordings.
Is there any way to do a remote reboot?

How about "brute force it". Put it on a timer that shuts off at 4:00 am and then back on at 4:05 am?

Haved you called tech support yet. It might need to be replaced. If there time before you leave you could have it replaced by then.

Not on the TiVo itself, TMK.
I'd do the timer thing.
More sophisticated, would be a device you can telnet into (really used to remotely control servers), or a slingbox.
