Hi Everyone, thanks for your time in helping a newbie!

I might be buying a SVR-2000, but no remote is included. I want to see if it has the Lifetime service. I have a RM-Y809 remote. Can I use the basic menu on the SVR-2000 unit using a RM-Y809 remote?

Why not just call in to TiVo helpdesk with the TSN? They can tell you if it is a lifetime unit.
