I bought a new R10 at Walmart, and it gets a churning noise in the left
channel, you can here the sound, but the noise is in the backgrond
continuously. The louder the sound the louder the churning. Anybody
have any thoughts.
THANKS

Does this do the same if you swap the input coax on the back?

How are you connecting from R10 to TV, and have you tried a different connection method and/or cable?

Did you mean to swap the two coax's coming from the dish, and am
using rca cables from rec to tv. I'm going to try the coax out to tv and
see what happens.
THANKS

I did the coax and no noise, I changed out the rca cables and no noise.
THANKS for getting me to think.

Yes... the 1st step in possible tuner problems is always to switch the input connections on the back of the receiver to see if one of the two coax cables is bad in some way

If that fixes the problem, you will have narrowed to cause to either a bad rca cable (you may also swap ONE end of the rca sound cables to see if the problem follows the cable) or a bad rca port on the r10
