can someone please explain 30 second skip?

I assume this is a way to "skip" commercials -- instead of having to fast-forward through them?

How do you do it?

While watching a recorded program push Select-Play-Select-3-0-Select on the remote while pointing at the TiVo.

You should hear 3 dings if successful (if watching a non 5.1 audio program).

The "skip to tick" button otherwise known as "skip to end" will now become the 30 second skip button.
It will still "skip to tick" when FF'ing, but no longer will "skip to end" while watching.

Looks exactly like this:

and is located above the 3.

If S-P-S-3-0-S doesn't work, try adding an extra play, P-S-P-S-3-0-S,
I've found I have to every now and then.
