View Full Version : Tivo records audio and Now Playing background

This has happened to me 3 times in about the past 2 months.
Most recently, I went to watch an episode of Bones I had recorded.
The audio is there, but the video is the animated "Now Playing" background.

Anyone else had this happen?

Also, what brand/model DVR do you have?

I've experienced this momentarily, where the TiVo menu graphics remain on screen with the recorded audio playing, but hitting LIST to back out and then PLAY again always seemed to correct the problem. I second the idea to try a re-start.

If the problem persists, besides answering what brand/model DVR you have, some other info from you may help diagnose the problem:

How old is the DVR?

Have you modified it in anyway by either upgrading storage (adding/replacing hard drives) or adding software hacks?

Does this problem only occur when recording a specific channel, or any channel?
