Having two Directivos in the same room

I helped my parents replace an older Directivo unit with the R10 (to get them 80 hours) and they just put the old one away. Now, they were wondering if they could have both of them active. I know you can, but how does that work with the remotes? Won't one control both of them? Or since they are different models (don't know the model number of the older one, but it's probably 4-5 years old at least), will the remotes not work with the other one?

Check your users manual for instructions on setting up alternate remote codes when using more than one Tivo in the same room. This process has been documented countless times in these forums.

And change this remote address on both TiVos. Because an address of 0 will control any TiVo regardless.
