Good afternoon,
I tried to set up the TIVO unit, TCD540080, to work with my TV. I cannot set up the remote to turn off / turn on the TV or even increase the volume. The TV that I have, has only one code and I tried to program that code several times. Unfortunately, it won't work.
Remote can change the channels without any problem. The set up was working 90% of the time. (I used the IR sensor.) Sometimes, it changed to the wrong channels. (The satellite box is DirecTV.)
Does the unit has any universal code to input the TV brand. (My brand is Vizio, and the remote code is 0315.) I tried everything and could not get it to work.
I even unplugged the TV unit and waited. Is there anyway to clear or wipe out the memory from the remote control?
