Since I now have my new series 3 up and running, I tried to install tivo desktop. It gets most of the way through the install, then an error saying there's an invalid data type for tivo server. Click out, click finish, says all is OK, bu then when tivo desktop tries to start up same error. I have tried reinstalling, removing remnant files from the tivo desktop folder, etc., but keep getting the same error.
I found a reference to the same issue in the tivo website forums with no resolution from July. Anyone out there found a solution?
