View Full Version : Directivo from Weaknees problem?

Okay, I received a 140 hour R10 for Christmas purchased from Weaknees. I hooked it up and activated it a little while ago. The problem I am having is it seems to be taking forever to receive any kind of response from the remote. Example: I push the guide and it takes a good 2 minutes for the guide to pop up. I am currently trying to setup my favorite channels list and after 15 minutes I haven't even gotten past the PPV channels. My question is this normal for a newly activated Directivo. I had one before and it's been so long I don't remember when it was activated. I thought it might be just because it is having to access all the information for the hard drive that it is being so sluggish, but I am just not sure. Thanks for any help you can give.

Give it a day to churn through all the guide info it just received.

The processor is pretty busy indexing all that data.

Come tomorrow, it'll have gone through it all and be ready to start setting up the channel list, favorites, setting season passes, wishlists, etc.

This also could be IR interference, although our guess is that it's more related to initial indexing. We have more info on IR interference (http://www.wkblog.com/2006/07/my_tivo_remote_stopped_working.html).
