changing channels.... 0's instead of nothing

I have my tivo setup to change the channels on my Directv box thru IR. Is there a way to get the tivo to enter 0's for numbers that are not entered. For example, satalite reciver channels see things in 4 digits. So if i want to go to channel 50 the tivo will tell thereciever to go to 50. But if it was told to go to 0050 the channels would change alot faster. I just want the tivo to enter 0's where there is no number entered. I hope I didnt confuse everyone. Thanks!!

not sure if it goes to 4 digits, but check settings->changing channels .... i believe the option is in there to add "0's" to the request sequence.
