I have an S2 TiVo box with a Netgear USB wireless transmitter using the TiVo server V2.3a. This setup worked perfectly for the first few years.
Just recently (about the time I installed an HD cable box I think) certain movies would transfer only a few megs and stop recording. For instance only 4M would turn up on the desktop. Even after RERECORDING the movie on the TiVo HD would yield the exact same 4M on transferring. Other movies would transfer just fine, 3-5Gig.
It seems that now, half the movies I want to transfer will only yield 3 or 4M and stop. The interesting thing is that the same movies *when re-recorded* will yield the same number of transferred bytes on the desktop.
I have uninstalled and redownloaded/reinstalled the TiVo desktop program, checked and reinstalled the USB wireless connection with the same result.
Does anyone have a notion of what could be happening? Where i could look?
