Having recently purchased a new laptop that is running Windows Media Center 2005 (a "superset" of Windows XP), I quickly discovered that the networking feature was disabled. Fortunately, after some lucky googling, I was able to find a way to change the windows registry to re-enable the networking feature (see attached). Now my Media Center PC is fully integrated into my home network, and accessible from any of my other PC's. I thought others might benefit from this information as well.
As always, be sure to take the appropriate precautions (backup your registry!) before making this patch.
