TiVo shuts down and restarted 6 times this weekend

This weekend we were watching a lot of TV. The TiVo unit shut down and restarted 6 times in one day. This may have been happening before and we haven't seen it due to the fact that no one watches TV during the day. The unit is only 3 months old. I have heard of Hard Drive failures, but with a new machine? Anyone have any ideas?

in short.. Tivo will charge you $50 for something their software upgrade broke.

This just started happening to us today. Are you saying that the software upgrade is causing this problem? What will they do for $50 to fix the problem?

<30 days you can get a 100% refund

90 days parts and labor - they'll replace your broken tivo with a refurb (that's trading your now used tivo for another used tivo)

1 year parts - same as 90 day except they want you to pay something for the replacement
