Hello ... I did some searching on this annoyance my Tivo developed but came up with nothing but millions of hits.
Over the last few months I have noticed that the video will skip for a split second. The sound is perfect during this and it happens so fast you are not sure if happens. But if I jump back I will see it consistently at the same moment in the show. This might happen every 5-10 minutes of a show. So the problem is with recording, not playback.
I have a basic setup with my Tivo Series 2 (540) unit with the Tivo network adaptor. I do have TVHarmony running but it only wakes up at 2AM to check for shows. I am not sure if that is messing with this during the recording. Other then that I am not sure what else could be effecting it. Or is this just almost 2 years of use of the Tivo hard drive. Can the HD be dieing? Any other factors?
Am I the only one what has seen this?
