I used Tivo to Go for the first time today. I planned to download a show to my Creative Zen Vision M. It's a concert. I uploaded it to the pc with Tivo Desktop, and the sound is way, way out of synch with the video--made it impossible to watch. It's almost as though I recorded the Tivo three second delay. The original played just fine on my 42" widescreen. If Tivo to Go were this bad, there would be a whole lot of talk (and some fixes) about it here. I must be doing something wrong, but what?

I've created over two dozen DVDs of shows transferred via TivoToGo. I have one or two shows (out of 30+) where the audio and video are not in sync. I would suggest you try a different show and see if you have the same problem. If not, transfer the same show over from your Tivo and transcode again. See if it was a one-time thing.

It's likely your codec that you are using. Do a search on the forum and find a good current codec and install it. I've ran into this problem several time and after reloading the codec it fixes the problem.

The codec idea is a good one. I can recommend a $50 program called VideoReDo:
1. Will clean up TiVo mpegs (and they sometimes need it).
2. Will edit out commercials.
3. Will allow you to insert any audio sync adjustment you want (which could save the file you already have).
It's quick: processing time is 5% to 10% of video duration, typically.
Haven't heard of anyone who owns it that doesn't love it. Search this forum for comments.
