getting my tivo transfers on my Video Ipod

I have 3 series 2 Tivo DVR's. I bought the plus key and I convert my transfers to the AVC H format. Then from the Itunes File menu I import the show, sync my Ipod all I get on my Ipod is a black screen with the right title and duration but no audio/video. Can anyone help trying to give as a gift to someone and am pulling my hair out :eek:

boy am I silly. I have 3 series 2 Tivos. Someone in my house shut the cable box off.
So I was transx black screens onto my Ipod. Duh
