View Full Version : Am I downloading 6.3b?

I am trying to force a phone call on my HR10-250 (6.3a) to see if I can get 6.3b and I am getting the message,
"Temporarily Unavailable
This option is temporarily unavailable because the Recorder is in the process of receiving new data.
When this completes, you will be able to access this option."
Does this mean it's downloading 6.3b? It's been at it for maybe an hour.
If so, will a forced call activate it?
I'm sure time will tell.

This happened on my HR10 last night, and when I went to the System Information page, the status under Service Data Download showed "Processing ; 0".
It stayed like that for over an hour, and was like that when I went to bed.
This morning I still have 6.3a, but this box lost al of its To Do items, with the history showing that the season passes were modified (which they weren't).
I'm calling DirecTV to see if they have any updates ...

Uh oh....Mine says the same thing...although in System Information, it says "Completed" I hope I don't lose my To Do items!

The good news is your To Do list goes empty, it will repopulate about an hour after a reboot. It seems that indexing is not occurring on the boxes having these problems, so you'd have to check your System Info page to see if Indexing is "current" (last 24 hours).

Wednesday I forced a call and downloaded 6.3A, I dont think B is in the stream, I forced several calls after and never downlaoded any more updates.

I tried to force a call this afternoon (~15:00 CST) and got this "temporarily unavailable" message. I tried a number of times and then an hour or so later and still got this message.
So it's 6 hours later (~21:00 CST) and I'm still getting this message. I highly doubt it takes 6 hours to receive any new data. This is bogus.
I'm forcing a reboot to see what happens.

So, after the reboot I was then able to force a call.

I tried calling out for the last 2 days and got the same message; today I checked the software version and I've got 6.3b now. Must have rebooted and installed last night.
