I'm thinking about getting another S3 for the other room. Tivo use to charge $12.95/month for one Tivo and $6.95 for each additional unit. Looking at their website, I don't see a multi-tivo option offered anymore. It would be cheaper to do a $6.95 for three years than to pay $299 for a 3-year on another S3. Does anybody know if that is an option for the S3? I have my older S2 on the $6.95/month option and just let my buddy have it. Tivo had no problem with that, but I don't know whether one can do that with a S3 unit.

It is hard to find, but you get I think $5 dicount on the second Tivo, so if you do a 3 year contract it is $6.95 a month. I think I found it in the FAQ about 5 days ago.

D'oh! You could have transferred the $6.95 sub on the S2 to the S3 and not needed the longer commitment.
In any case, yes, you can get the MSD on the S3, and it should be offered to you when you sign up for new service on an account with a full-price box in it. It is $6.95/mo for a three-year commit. (Or $8.95 for two years, or $13.95 for one year.)

The MSD Terms have changed and are now $6/mo less than the cost of primary TiVo. Go here (http://www.tivo.com/5.11.asp) and read the T&C.

The key is you have to buy the hardware from somewhere other than TiVo.com, since they sell only the bundles.
