changing IPOD target folder for Desk Top +

Sorry if this has been asked before but I couldn't find anything in a search. I got the Tivo Desktop Plus. I was able to change the destination folder for the TIVO transfers to my "D" drive since my "C" drive is almost full. The software will not allow me to change the destination drive for My TiVo Recordings for Portables. Called tech support and they said they can't help me change it because it causes problems. She then referred me to the forum. Been a forum member for years, should have known to just come here first! Anyway can anyone help me? I know I can get third party software that will do this but since I spent 30 bucks on plus it would be nice if it worked. Thanks!

You will need to relocate your entire My Documents folder to the other drive.

You can use TweakUI (free from MS) to move the folder. Also TweakMCE if you have that installed.

You actually shouldn't need either of the tweak programs. You should be able to right click on your "my documents" folder and then select "properties" and there should be an option there to "move" the "target folder location".

I have mine on a separate drive for backup purposes...I can leave the programs, etc. on C and have my data on the other drive. So for me, it's D:\My Documents.

Also, within the Tivo Desktop program, you can select "file" then "preferences" and select a folder for the "My tivo recordings". I have mine set to a third drive that I use just for storing music and videos. I don't have the plus version, so I cannot say if there are more settings to configure after that. So for me, it's G:\My TiVo Recordings.
