My new S3 should arrive tomorrow.
I need a way to extend the range of the TiVo Remote. Where can you purchase a simple, cheap wire that you attach the IR sensor on the Tivo, where you can string it through a hole in a wall, so that you are in range of the remote signal?
monoprice.com, perhaps? radio hack? smarthome.com
etc.
They may require you to use a specific receiver/retransmitter, though.

I really like the Xantech extenders. Google for different vendors.

Thanks, I'll check out some of these brands. The thing is, I already own a Pronto 7500 Remote plus a Pronto RFX6500 extender. Someone else installed these. But I want to be able to use the TiVO remote and I assume the Pronto extender will only extend the Pronto remote, not the actual TiVO remote. I'm definitely confused about what to do.

I've a Hot Link that works great. Allows all my stuff to be hidden in a cabinet. Be mindful of heat in an enclosed space.

Look for PowerMID in eBay. I got a set for $15.

Don't know about the Pronto extender, but the Xantech stuff works for all IR. I have a little Xantech box on the top of my DLP set and it's wired to repeaters in a remote cabinet.
Works great, although the repeaters tend to fall off from time to time.

I highly recommend HotLink as well. http://www.hot-link.com/
I talked to a guy named Marcus there and he was extremely helpful. If you get HotLink, I would suggest making your own extension cord instead of buying the one on there. You'll just need coax cable and a few adapters from Radio Shack.
