i am almost positive these were working last week and now i'm getting a "searching for signal" on both 11-1 and 11-2. anyone else in the ny market seeing the same thing or do i have a problem?
the weird thing is that when i check the signal strength it shows 95+ signal at all times.

YES. Same exact thing here. 95% signal strength, but tuner can't get it. NY 11-1 and 11-2.

This may not help you, but I'm able to see both 11-1 and 11-2 over my cable signal (unencrypted QAM).

I have more info on this problem.
I ran a scan for OTA channels. It picked up ANOTHER 11-1 and 11-2. Now I have TWO OF EACH. My channel list now includes the following -
11-1 (WPIXDT)
11-1 (TheCW11)
11-2 (WPIXDT2)
11-2 (TheTube)
The units can only tune into "TheCW11" and "TheTube". However, only the WPIXDT stations contain guide data - not the other two!!
This is really screwed up. I have guide data for the ones that wont tune in, and I can tune into the ones with no guide data. This happened to BOTH of my HR10-250's. Both have 6.3b.
Either the new software is screwed up, or the guide data is screwed up.
I found no way of eliminating the WPIXDT channels, even though I can not seem to use them. I tried selecting remove scanned channels, and I tried re-running guided setup, but those two unusable channels remain. Plus, "TheCW11" (11-1) and "TheTube" (11-2) are not much use without guide data.
I am about 15miles outside of NYC, and signal strength is 95% or better - not that it matters because obviously this is a guide data or software problem, not a signal problem.

I think it's the guide data. It looks to me like WPIX recently updated the info they provide in their PSIP stream (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PSIP), but all of those changes haven't trickled to whoever supplies DirecTV with the local guide data. I would give DirecTV a call and inform them of this information, as they DO provide support for OTA HD and they do deliver the guide data to your box.
Good luck!

Thanks Drew.
If it doesn't seem to be updating by Tuesday I'll start in with DTV. I don't look forward to THAT call. They are going to start telling me to "Restart", or "Rescan", or "Re-Run Guided setup", or "Unplug unit for 3 minutes", or "Well send two HR20's as replacements", etc... until they -possibly- come to the realization that something else is going on here.
Oh, and they will also tell me "This is the first we have heard of this problem" (which -may- even be true). No, DTV support is not fun.

I also have two of the HR10-250's, and I am having the EXACT same problems you are. (but both are running 6.3a) My locals are in the 79336 zip code, and the one channel that I lost was 11.1. (and I get around 95% signal) I now have two of them listed, and I had to clear out my to do list because it keeps trying to tape the wrong one. I have not deleted my season passes yet because I was hoping that the new update would fix this. Ugh... I guess I am going to have to call their support. This is going to be a lot of fun...
