I'm considering purchasing either a Harmony 659 or 670 remote to control my TV, HR10, DVD and sound system. I'm wondering if anyone out there has any experience with either of these remotes and the HR10?
Logitech specifically mentions TiVo in their advertising the 670, but I can't see any difference between it and the less expensive 659. Anybody have any feedback on that?
Thanks
I recently bought a Harmony remote and I looked at all of the models, trying to compare the button layout on all of them to work to see which one would work best for my HR10 and HR20 DVRs. With the 6xx models, the primary difference is the button layout. Pick whichever one you think would work best for you. There's some good information at remotecentral.com.
I settled on the 680, which is supposedly designed for a Windows Media Center PC, but it works great on both DVRs, along with my Mitsubishi HDTV, Yamaha A/V receiver, Sony DVD recorder, a DirecTiVo, a Sony CD jukebox and an old VCR (rarely used). I can even control my X-10 lights and my 2nd gen nano! It has buttons for "Live" and "Rec'd" (recorded). The transport buttons are grouped around a navigation ring/select button in the middle of the remote. A lot of DVR owners on various forums are using the 880, but it's about 50% more than the 6xx line.
The 680 can be hard to find and is longer listed on the Logitech Harmony site. I got a great price at Amazon, but the price is higher now. They're also available at surfremote.com and bluedo.com.

Is the search function down again? Because the Harmony is the most talked about remote here. I'm using the 880 on my HR10-250 and GXCEBOT. I wanted one with the LCD screen rather than labeled buttons. It took a couple of days to get used to but now It's great. I really like the fact that I can control EVERYTHING with one remote.

I have a 680 which in my opinion is the best layout for a DVR. Especially if you are used to Tivo. Get the 670 which is the newer model of the now discontinued 680.

You're absolutely right, Robert, I should have used the search function first. :o Sorry for bogging down the forum, and thanks for everyone's input.
