How fast is the file transfer with this new Tivo?

I have been searching but only seem to find posts about the older TIVOs.

Please let me know ?

I've had a S2 DT (Model 649) for 6 months now. My transfers over a wired network are about 2.5 GB per hour rate. This will vary depending on your PC, network, and how busy your TiVo is. Some say it speeds up if you pause the TiVo display and are not recording at the time. Haven't checked that out. There is a free third party program called TiVoPlaylist that will show the "Now Playing" list and transfer programs without using the TiVo Server used by Desktop, although you do need your MAK. I recently tried it and it seemed to work OK although I haven't tested to see if it is faster than Desktop as others have claimed. Just search the forum for it if you are interested.
