I've been recording/viewing all the NFL network Thurs night games on CH 95, including 12-14. Tried recording the Saturday game - got PPV message to call customer service. They say it's now available only if you're a Sunday Ticket subscriber. Never mind that I'm paying $125 / mo for everything else.
The earlier games were just free previews. Unbelivable!! What a rip off - once again D* sucks big time.

So you should get every channel you want for $125?
Of course channel 95 is black, the game broadcast doesn't begin until 8:00 p.m. On the Thursday night games D* has been broadcasting the pregame show on 95 in SD, but by the looks of the guide the pregame show isn't going to be shown on 95 tonight. I have a sneakin' suspicion that the info. you received from D* is not correct. Either way, I'm a ST subscriber so I'm not worried.
BTW - tried to record the game and got the same message to call customer service. As I said above, I'm a ST subscriber.

Guide information data is probably wronf so use a manual recording.

Interesting. . .
When I tried to schedule the Cowboys/Falcons game recording off the guide, it actually schedule the "Postgame" program block on SUNDAY.
I just scheduled a manual, and I'm sure it'll be okay.

I was able to record the game only the moment it started.

Channel 95 is a mess. Use manual recordings whenever possible.
The shifts from PPV to non-PPV mess it up.

When I tried to record the game, it showed as a pay per view, so I just set up a manual recording. That worked fine. Just means the guide data was messed up.

Even though the D* CSR told me I needed ST to get the game, I was finally able to record and watch it. (Heck of a game.) So, ST subscription is still not a requirement to get the NFL Network games.
It does look like timer recording is best bet, since the game became available only at the last second. So the CSR gave me wrong info - imagine that!

Why not watch pregame show etc on Channel 212? Sure, it's lower quality than HD Lite, but it's still OK.

That's strange. I was able to set up the recording ahead of time and it recorded with no problem and I'm not a Sunday Ticket subscriber.

Why would it matter if you're a ST sub or not when the game was on Saturday night?
ST didn't matter. The OP was told by an uninformed D* CSR that it would.

Just to chime in here for clarity.
I am NOT a ST subscriber, and so far I have been able to watch every NFL Network game on channel 95 in HD.
I scheduled a manual recording for last nights Cowboys/Falcons game and watched it (time shifted, of course) with no problems.
I do, however, subscribe to the HD package from D*. I wonder if that has anything to do with being able to see the games on channel 95?
What I would like to have confirmed is, are people that have the HR10-250 that do NOT subscribe to the HD package from D* able to see the NFL Network games on channel 95?
Thanks in advance.

You'd get distants in HD if you have waivers for the SD equivalent. You'd get the HD games your RSN provides if D* has the rights to them. Both of those situations aren't dependent on your subbing to the HD package. You get NFL Network in your TC package, so why would they withhold the HD game on ch. 95?

Got my confirmation. Talked to a friend (actually dialed this thing they call the 'telephone') who doesn't have the HD package and he was indeed able to watch last night's game in HD on channel 95 on his HR10-250.
That's all I wanted to know.

The quality of the "HD" on channel 95 for the Cowboys-Falcons game was pathetic. I was not sure I wasnt on 212 watching it in SD.

Agreed. Lots of blocking visible during motion shots.
