View Full Version : 7-second sound loss on OTA on HR10-250

The problem is that when watching a HD OTA recording, the sound will stop for about seven seconds. When the sound comes back on, the video will jiggle ever so slightly. At first I thought it was signal strength, and have spent a ridiculous amount of time and money on antennas, new cabling, boosters, etc. At least I now have a great signal! The bossy half claims that she has experienced this during live viewing, but I have not. It does seem to be worse on one channel, but that channel also has a signal strength that stays above 90%. This unit is well out of it's warranty, but is still untouched.

I have been off the forums for a long time, trying to work myself to death to keep my business alive, so I am certainly out of date on current happenings. I have been searching for an existing thread on this subject, as I doubt I am the only one to experience it, but have yet to find anything. Suggestions, or point me to an old thread?

I just found the thread where this was being discussed, forced a call which updated me from 6.3a to 6.3b. We shall see REAL SOON if my life will be spared by "the evil one!"

Yep, this is the "audio dropout bug" in v6.3a. You'll be fine with 6.3b.
