My wife mentioned to me that she couldn't get the Tivo to work yesterday. I turned everything on, and couldn't see anything on the TV. Green and red lights were on like it was working though. I unplugged it, plugged it back in, and it came back up...
But the colors were all out of wack. It basically looks like it only has 256 colors or something. This is only affecting the HDMI output though. I hooked up component and everything looks fine. It is still running 6.3a.
I also made sure the DVI input of my TV is fine, by connecting other sources.
Anyone have any suggestions?

Your HDMI card just bit it....as have MANY others. Switch over to component, you will never know the difference in PQ.

Yuppers. I did my original searches on "color problems" etc, and didn't find any posts. It wasn't till after I posted this that I saw a plethora of HDMI card issues posts. It looks like the build date on my Tivo is in 2004, so I suspect I have the older HDMI card (which has worked like a champ up until now) and is now sucking a nut.
It was nice using a single cable to my AVR, but you really cant tell the difference in picture quality between HDMI and component, so I will likely not even bother with the $100 HDMI card fix, and just use use component video and optical audio until this thing is useless.
Thanks for the responses,
aaron
