When i turned the Tivo back on after the power cut its stuck on the "The recorder cannot display Live TV" screen, i have checked the STB direct to the TV and i get a picture i have checked all scart leads and aerial leads and everything seems to be ok. I have also rebooted Tivo but still it only displays this screen.
Also when i look on live tv all the channel programmes appear with their details of whats showing but no picture, tivo central works fine and i can watch stuff that has been recorded onto Tivo
Bit stuck here as what to try next

Have you tried a guided setup? That's the first thing I'd try.
When you say "Rebooted" do you mean through the menus or by pulling the plug?
I would ensure the STB is showing a signal, pull the plug for a minute and try again before you try GS.

Thanks for the replys guys, i thought i'd cracked it with guided setup but when i choose channels i recieve and then had to test the channel change the message is "The recorder is not getting a signal from your STB", i know the STB is fine as i ran it direct to the TV.

Have you tried powering off and on both devices, making sure the STB is powered on first?

Yeah i just did that when i ran GS, strange because when tivo did the channel search during GS it listed all the channels but now its saying its not getting a video signal?

What's your program source, analogue cable?

OK, so this is going to sound dumb, but I get problems like this. It seems to be caused by how my STB handles powercuts. It initially just seems to go dead. I have to take the power out, reconnect, wait a few mins and then ... "turn it on". I seem to forget this last step each time! Anyway, after all that, the TiVo sometimes needs restarting as it seems to have become convinced the STB isn't producing a signal.

OK, so your freeview STB is connected via SCART to your TiVo's AUX socket?
You unplug both from the mains, power up the STB and leave it to settle (say for a minute), then power up the TiVo, but when you hit Live TV you get a blue screen?
Have you tried selecting the same channel number - ie. typing it in via the remote - twice in a row? Sometimes the TiVo gets confused and looks at the wrong source (in this case the internal tuner) and this forces it to swap sources.

I had my STB connected to the Tivo's VCR socket (i thought this was the correct one :o ) i've just pluged it into the Tivo AUX socket and i can see a picture (with no sound) but the colour is all funny, its mainly green!
*edit* yeah i also tried doing the double channel change but still the same

its mainly green! Most likely a dodgy RGB connection via the SCART.
Glad to hear you've now got it plugged into the right socket though :p:D:D

*ahem* cough cough, can we please delete this thread and forget it ever existed :D
Just checked the back of the scart connections and noticed the one to the TV was half hanging out which is why there was no sound and the colour was funny! Plugged it in properly and colour and sound returned. I am sure i had the scart plugged into the VCR scart before and not the AUX :o everything seems to be back to normal now
Ah well at least im living up to my username!
QUICK LOOK AT THAT OVER THERE>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Ok now its done the daily call and completed all three (connecting, Downloading and Hanging Up) and there is now a message at the bottom of the screen saying "Please Wait..." and has been there for 15 mins, it seems to have locked up!
