I don't really have a desire to hack my TIVO for network access, scripts etc... (yet) but I would like a larger drive.

Is it possible to somehow transfer all the data from my current 250GB TIVO drive to a larger - say 500GB without installing any hacks etc...? Essentailly keeping stock functionality while upping the amount of recorded content.

If this is not possible... can a 2nd drive be added to the TIVO drive (leaving the initial drive untouched) to be accessed as additional storage space?

thanks

Yes, it's absolutely possible. Try this: http://tivo.upgrade-instructions.com/index.php.

Sure it possible and really easy if you buy a product like InstantCake from dvrupgrade. Just get a new drive, put it in your pc, boot from the InstantCake CD and follow the instructions. Or you could do it manually by getting the MFS_Tools cd find the instructions for copying and expanding your current drive to a larger drive. That is a little more difficult.
