Pretty funny episode.

Nicole (Andrea Anders) was destined to figure out who really remembered her fondness for fashion week.

The stripper pole (from her husband) was not a bright idea, but is about what you'd expect an old jock to think of...

Lina giving Richie a second chance was pretty well destined too.

Kat's new neighbor was definitely perky, but you could see that Ethan (Jason Ritter) was gonna wind up with her too (which obviously sets off more jealousy of her and some angst with him).

They even worked in a tolerable Hollie (news bimbo) segment.

This show, especially paired up with HIMYM is doing a great job of establishing a decent SitCom night on CBS.

I enjoyed the shout-out to Knoxville! :D

Of course, it is David Keith's hometown....

I also liked Ritchie's pole dance. Very cute!

"Son, you just ruined that pole for me."

The episode was fairly predictable in all aspects; standard sitcom. But, it was well done and pretty funny. Good stuff. I didn't realize that Nicole had only been married less than a year when she slept with Duncan. That's pretty bad! Yikes.

There are so many jokes that could be made about Nicole Ritchie and pole dancing that I'm just going to leave it to my fellow TCFers, who are much funnier than I am. :D

I really enjoyed this episode.

I liked how Lina was explaining Ritchie to Nicole and you really saw just what a connection the two of them have. Dunno, I really think their relationship is very sweet.

I thought the Fashion Week gift would be predictable and it was, with Nicole figuring it out. But this sitcom stayed away from the normal sitcom routine of Duncan trying to plot the wacky demise of Yonk and Nicole's marriage. Pretty interesting

Although 'Fashion Week'? Worst name ever. The writers must have been in the room and thought hmmm Nicole likes fashion....how about she goes to to a fashion trade show....for a week. What do we call that?

That is in fact what the fashion industry calls it. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fashion_Week)

That is in fact what the fashion industry calls it. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fashion_Week)Yup. It's big news here in NY, on local news (TV) and in the papers ...

This show tonight was ... OK.

When the new neighbor was introduced, my first thought was, "Oh, no. They're introducing a wacky neighbor ALREADY?" Then I saw where it went (Ethan / Kat / jealousy plot), I thought OK, not a bad move.

However, for it to really work, Ethan needs to be with new neighbor long enough to really get under Kat's skin, which would make new neighbor a recurring character.

I'm really liking David Keith as a recurring character, and if they keep the new neighbor, is there room for Kyle, Aaron, Holly, and Perry? I'm thinking these four characters are the least developed and least worthy of staying around, but I would keep Holly on for her "news" updates!

Oh I'm sure it is, it just sounds so...obvious. ;)

I noticed that they weren't in this episode and I also noticed I didn't mind that they weren't. I like Kyle's character and enjoy Holly getting hit in the face with stop signs but otherwise, they don't have any dynamic I'm really interested in.

You obviously don't watch Project Runway. :p

The Ritchie pole dancing had me laughing out loud!

I'm glad they have the restraint to not cram all the characters into every show.

I thought this episode was really funny. I was cracking up when Ritchie first decided he would do the pole dance. My god, that outfit Kat was wearing was hideous.

I don't usually like shows that are this sitcom-y but for some reason I enjoy this.

I enjoyed seeing the look on Ethan's face when he was caught eating another woman's melon.

As far as I am concerned Lina and Ritchie are the centerpieces of this show, and I like that.

I'm glad I've stuck with this show. The pilot was meh, but this is a show that has gotten progressively better with each episode (although I thought this one was weaker than the last few). Kat is my favorite character, and you can see that it would take something like Ethan dating someone else to make Kat realize that she's in love with him. I too agree that Holly, et al are the weeker characters, but there ARE certain things they really do to develop those characters. The "gay husband" dynamic was very funny in past episodes and can be readdressed as needed.

Me and the wife pretty much thought the same thing. After the pilot, we decided to give it a chance... New shows usually take a few episodes to find their legs... and it seems as though this show is starting to click. The people are getting comfortable in their roles and the writers are figuring out what works and what doesn't.

This ep's issue is that it followed up, IMHO, what was clearly the series' best episode to date. 'The Class Runs Into a Convenience Store' was a hard act to follow at this point.

I'm with y'all. I thought the pilot was horrible, but so many people here really liked it, so I stuck with the SP and am really enjoying it now.

I agree that the show is getting better. The actors are starting to flesh out the characters more. They aren't caricatures, for the most part, anymore. We're starting to see more depth of emotion.

It's nice to see.
