I have a RCA DirecTV DVR80 - I popped in a new 320GB drive. I bought InstantCake, PTVnet, and LBA48 Boot CD w/ Enhancements.
I ran the PTVnet disk, then InstantCake as instructed. I booted my Tivo and so far everything is working (as far as I can tell, I did the upgrade at work and will not be able to hook up the SAT 1&2 until tonight). The Tivo is running version 6.2
I am confused on how to apply the LBA48 Boot CD w/ Enhancements. I searched and read but didn't find a confortable guide to follow. I am wondering if I even need to buy it. I unfortunately bought the Linksys USB200M Ver 2.1 and was hoping the Enhancement would bring that to life.
So I need help - do I use the Enhancement CD? And how (any good step by steps?)
Do I return the Linksys USB200M Ver 2.1 and search for a Netgear FA120 or 101 ?
Will the Tivo Brand Wireless G adapter work on the upgraded version of the DirecTV Tivo ?

I think you use the ehnacement CD to incorporate the zipper on to.
For adapters, you can hack in support for the V2 USB200M.
The TiVo G adapter only works on Standalones I think.

No, the LBA48 boot CD w/ enhancements is a different product from zipper. I'm not sure what "Enhancements" they use, but it is not zipper.

Ok, here is an update. I decided to made a zipper boot cd with the instakecake image for my tivo model. I had it restore the image (fresh install) and the install went smooth.
Now the problem I am having is I cannot get Season Passes to schedule any recordings, they show as no episodes. I can do manually recordings ok. My guide fully populated over night, I set up 3 season passes for my wife's soap operas by finding them in the guide, hitting record and choosing the season pass option with recording first runs and repeats. I let it sit for awhile and went back to get the recording schedule and it does not show anything.
So I went to Search for a show title and set it up that way and it is not able to find any shows at all via that feature. I would expect this to happen if the guide was not filled in, but it is. I did try to do a restart - no help. Any suggestions? I am at work now and just redownloaded everything and made a new boot CD and was planning on re-imaging again tonight to make sure something wasn't corrupted.

I gave up on trying to use the PTVnet/InstantCake upgrade method and jumped into using the zipper. I opened a new thread to chase down a different issue. Good news is the zipper USB drivers worked without any modifications for my Linksys USB200M Ver 2.1 ethernet stick.
