Recording help requested

I recently upgraded my Time Warner TV service to HD, using their Scientific Atlanta set-top converter box. I re-installed my TIVO Series2 DVR, using the IR cable.

The TIVO works on it's own, so there is no problem there. HOWEVER: when I set the TIVO to record anything, all I get is a blank screen and no audio. It appears that the TIVO activates, but when the scheduled program is to start, the screen goes blank. The program, and it's selected start-time appear on my Now Playing list as if the program had been recorded.

First you say you have a digital cable box, but then you say you have the TiVo "working on its own".

What do you mean?

Is it wired up to get a feed from the cable box, or not? Did you go thru GUIDED SETUP again, or not?

It's very unclear what your setup is, so it's hard to figure why your TiVo isn't recording.
