PPV on Tivo?

So I have the DT-cable tivo and I have a Cable company DVR (yuck) is there away to get the PPV movies on the tivo are am I stuck with watching them on the DVR and sol if I ever return it?

Some people have been able to put things like home movie video tapes and sometimes DVDs on their TiVo, but it involves "lying" to the TiVo, setting it up to record as if it's using a cable or satellite box thru the audio/video inputs. (You'd most likely have to use a manual recording.)

The problem is, while the recording should work, the TiVo will believe it's recording off a channel on the cable or satellite box you told it you were using. This means that on your NOW PLAYING list, some other program or movie will be listed. (Unless doing a manual recording leaves no info in there anyway...I'm not sure.)

so what channel will this use if you lie to the tivo? making DVDs show up on the tivo sound like fun. do we have a step by step walk trough

Any channel, since the TiVo won't actually be changing the channels on anything.

well I "Got" what you are saying. It hit me while sitting on the edge of the bed staring at the tivos mapping the wires in my head.

I had some fun with it I tried to Play Halo 2 on xbox live but the lag in the tivo was to much to be able to play.
So I played a DVD in my xbox to record it and that was fun. Then I got the idea to hook the output on my other tivo to this tivo :) So cool (other then the lag)
