simple question

if you had to pick ONE HD movie channel

HBO or Showtime

Well, usually, you automatically get the HD version when you subscribe to one of those two. I say base the decision on which has the programming you like. Personally, I like some of the HBO original shows. can't think of any original Showtime show that I have ever seen.

yeah, well we would get one of these 2 channels based on 2 things

1 - the fact that it's in HD
and
2 - The programming on their

the movies on either are generally hit or miss on both.

I would say don't base your decision on what movies they show. HBO and Showtime are no longer about movies on TV. It's about their own *original* programming.

If you like The Sopranos, for example, get HBO. It will be even better to see it in HBO.

yeah, we most likely will get HBO due to Sopranos and Entourage.

Showtime has weeds and sleeper cell that i like

but weeds season 2 just ended, and sleeper cell is a great dvd show :)

why choose one? get 'em both and spend less money at movie theaters with an HD TV and good programming...your home becomes your entertainment center.

and while sleeper cell may be a good DVD show, the second season just premiered on sunday, so that DVD wont be out for a while, so if you like that show it makes sense to get showtime...on another note...anybody heard about this sleeper cell contest (http://ziddio.com/contest.zd?dispatch=landing&contest=4)? my friend sent me the link cuz he knows i watch...so i'll pass it on to any fans in here...altho i guess you dont need to be a fan to do this contest...but more of a wannabe spy (or prankster).

we don't go to the movies really anyways, so that wouldn't help :)

Oops, I didn't read the question--I selected Showtime because that is what I have but I enjoyed HBO better and plan on switching back
