I just upgraded a new Directv R10 from the stock 70 hours with 2-750GB Seagate DB35 drives. I looked at various update strategies, none too intimidating since I am familiar with Linux, but decided to use InstantCake just for simplicity and time savings. Everything seemed to go well.
After installing the InstantCaked drives, powering up the unit, going through the setup, allowing it to phone home, etc. , I see that in System Information the Recording Capacity is "Variable, up to 0 hours" Huh?
Is this an anomaly in the way that the capacity is reported, or was there something wrong with the InstantCake upgrade on the large drives? Is there any way I can confirm the upgrade capacity?
