Using Tivo Series 2, while in the middle of recording a show, I stop the recording. After it's stopped, why does Tivo change the channel to the same one it was on during the recording? I don't understand why it does this, it's not necessary. Where is the logic in this? :confused:

It doesn't know what channel the cable or satellite box is tuned to so changes its channel each time.

It sounds like you stopped a Suggestion from recording. TiVo deliberately re-tunes the chsannel it was on before it recorded a Suggestion. Since it can't tell which channel is tuned on a cable box it always retunes it. It sounds like it happened to be on the same channel before the Suggestion as the Suggestion was on.
