First, apologies for the multiple posts, but I'm on a trail of (increasingly disappointing) discovery here and it's been a very long time since I last messed with this stuff...
Having just restored an old backup to my Tivo, I' m now trying to reconstruct everything that I had installed. Cachecard is working fine and I can still telnet into the Tivo from the old Tivoweb installation (presumably). Tivoweb, however, is not working.
I can still FTP into the Tivo, but I just get an empty window -- no folders, nothing. Popping the A drive back into the PC and booting the LBA48 CD (I'm now using 2 x 160GB drives with the upgraded kernel), gives yet more oddities...
I'm following the Steve Jenkins guide (http://tivo.stevejenkins.com/network_cd.html#_Toc101001736) to check that everything is as it should be, but when it comes to mounting the Tivo partitions, I run into problems.
First:
mkdir /mnt4
mkdir /mnt7
mkdir /mnt9
Then:
mount /dev/hdc4 /mnt4 -- "/dev/hdc4: Success", "mount: you must specify the filesystem type"
mount /dev/hdc7 /mnt7 -- "/dev/hdc7: Success", "mount: you must specify the filesystem type"
mount /dev/hdc9 /mnt9 -- "/dev/hdc9: Success", "mount: you must specify the filesystem type"
Then "df" just lists the RAM drive and no mounted partitions. Thanks to my near non-existent knowledge of Linux, this is as far as I can get, but I'm guessing that those partitions don't exist for some reason.
Paging up the boot screens shows hdc to have an "unknown partition table". (The Tivo appears to be working fine, btw)
Any ideas..?
