From The Enquirer (http://theinquirer.net/default.aspx?article=36254).

PVRblog reports that it received an email suggesting Apple will license Tivo technology for its iTV wireless set-top box that was announced in September. The same tipster suggests that the iTV name will change to Mac Media Capsule.

Makes a lot of sense.

Let's face it: if they rely on Apple software it would probably only play TV downloaded from a pay site called i-Ripyouoff, would have a remote with only one button, would only output one TV standard and no matter where in the world you live it won't be your TV standard, would have a keyboard that requires four keys to be depressed at the same time just to select "play" with no instructions anywhere explaining which key combinations do what because "it's intuitive", and would have a battery good for 17 charge cycles before needing replacement by an authorised service centre at a cost exceeding that of a new device.

But it would all come in a pretty case and would no doubt sell by the million to bored interior designers.

With all that said, if it has Tivo software in it I will probably buy one because unlike most Apple products it would actually do the job it's supposed to do.
