So picked up the S3 and got an appointment for a few days later with comcast (yesterday) of course they call and cancel saying they don't have cards. WTF? If you didn't have cards why are you telling me the day of installation? Whatever. They say they will have them today and come by, perfect, 2 right? Just like I told you on the phone a week ago and yesterday. Yup. Shows up with 1 today and doesn't have a clue about what a tivo is or how the card works or anything. Hands me the card and I follow the instructions on the tivo. No dice. Keep getting error 161-1. Did a quick search on the forums and only came up with error 161-4. Try plugging it into the back of the TV to see if it's the card, doesn't work on the TV either. Calls Comcast and they say they need to come back. Now I have to wait til Monday and I don't even know if it will work then. I told him to bring a couple cards in case a few don't work. I wonder if that will happen. So frustrating. So does anyone have any advice or know what error 161-1 is? Any other problems I might run into? Also can anyone tell me why I am paying $13.50 installation if I AM the one installing the cards? Thanks.
