Just curious. I have a Seagate DB35 Series 750 GB drive on the way, and I wondered if S3 perfomance (accessing menus, channel changing, general UI speed, etc.) was in any way improved after upgrading?

Not for me.

OK, thanks...I was just curious. WeaKnees and Seagate go on and on about how the DB35s are specifically developed for DVR usage so I was curious as to whether they made any performance difference over the stock WD hard drive that TiVo uses.

That just means they're really quiet and rated for continuous low-intensity usage.

IIRC, somebody reported in some thread around here that with his/her Seagate DB35 Series 750 GB upgrade, (among other things?) he/she no longer had audio dropouts while scrolling around in the guide.
I just got my own DB35 Series 750 GB drive from WeaKnees yesterday and will perform the transplant in the near future. I'll be curious to see if my guide-related audio dropouts also disappear.
